How long will it take?
The most frequently asked question about psychoanalytic psychotherapy is how long will it take?
To be honest there is no quick fix and no quick answer. The best way to find out about whether psychotherapy is what you are looking for is for us to meet and discuss together what it is you are seeking.
How much will it cost?
I operate on a sliding scale depending on the person's income.
The initial consultation can be by phone. If we decide we want to work together then we can discuss a fair fee. Payment for the fee can be weekly or monthly. The sessions are 50 minutes.
When will I be seen?
My appointment times are by arrangement. There are sessions early in the morning and in the evening to accomodate work schedules. Generally I do not work at the weekend.
In addition to my private psychotherapy practice I worked for over 25 years in prisons as a psychotherapist, group therapist and supervisor. This work convinced me of the power of psychotherapy. I lecture and write widely about my forensic work and established the SATURDAY FORENSIC FORUM to further work with complex patients in difficult settings.
How often do we meet?
The minimum I will see someone is once a week - at a regular day and time

Where is your practice?
My practice is located near Highbury and Islington underground station on the Victoria line (and Silverlink). The Angel tube and Upper Street are a short walk away, as is Holloway Road tube.
